Local administrative updates in Giacciano con Baruchella and Marsala

The post office in Giacciano con Baruchella has reopened following renovations and modernization. As part of the Polis project by Poste Italiane, the facility now offers expanded public administration services to residents in smaller municipalities. These services include INPS pension documentation, registry certificates, and the ability to request or renew passports directly at the counter, reducing the need to visit police headquarters.

The renovated site features improved accessibility, including a dedicated lane for the visually impaired and lowered counters for easier service access.

In Marsala, the municipal government has approved a comprehensive reorganization of its administrative structure. Led by Mayor Andreana Patti, the restructuring aims to increase efficiency and align with the National Anti-Corruption Plan. Key changes include the redistribution of various sectors, such as moving IT services to the Finance and Tax sector and consolidating social services and cemetery management. Additionally, the municipality has expanded the Special Office for the implementation of the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) to oversee strategic planning and energy transition through the end of 2026.
