Local amateur theater productions scheduled in Greece

Two amateur theater productions are set to take place in Greece this October.

The Gymnastics Club of Agrinio (GEA) will present Georges Feydeau’s classic farce ‘The Tailor of Ladies’ on October 21 and 22 at the Papastrateio Megaros. Directed by Iouli Marousi, the play satirizes urban hypocrisy and social pretenses through a series of comedic misunderstandings involving a doctor posing as a tailor.

In Agios Dimitrios, the Municipal Youth Theater Workshop will perform an adaptation of Aristophanes’ ‘The Birds,’ titled ‘Learn to Fly.’ Directed by Maria Bakella, the performances will be held at the 1st Lyceum of Agios Dimitrios Amphitheater on October 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, and November 1. The production is free to the public and aims to support youth creativity and collective expression.
