Local anniversaries celebrated in Vila de Rei and Tunes

Various local anniversaries were celebrated in Portugal during early October. In Vila de Rei, the XXV Tunicoto event was held to mark the 30th anniversary of the Villa d’El Rei Tuna. The festivities included a night of serenades, musical performances by various academic tunas, and a commemorative dinner for current and former members.

In the parish of Tunes, celebrations marked the 41st anniversary of its implementation. The event featured musical performances, a photographic exhibition on local history, and a railway modeling exhibition. Local officials, including Tunes Parish President Mariana Cabrita and Silves Municipal President Luísa Conduto, highlighted the community's unique identity and the successful efforts to restore the parish's independent status following previous administrative annexations.
