Local art exhibitions launch in La Bresse and Lisieux
Various local art initiatives are taking place in France, highlighting regional talent through unique exhibition formats.
In La Bresse, the Maison de La Bresse has inaugurated a month dedicated to local talent. The exhibition, which opened on October 10, features a diverse range of artistic practices including painting, acrylics, and upcycled art. The initiative aims to foster exchange between artists and the public while providing visibility to local creators. The exhibition is free to the public and follows specific weekly visiting hours.
In Lisieux, a residential property in the city center has been transformed into a temporary gallery titled ‘Le 13, galerie à la maison’. From October 9 to 11, 2026, four artists—Cyril Sorel, Aurélie Blin-Sorel, Jean-Michel Thomine, and Baptiste Dozolme—are showcasing their work. The project seeks to make art more accessible by moving it out of traditional, intimidating venues and into a domestic setting, allowing visitors to experience the pieces as if they were in a friend's home.
