Local French communities host artisanal and food markets

Various local communities in France are hosting events focused on artisanal products, local food, and community engagement.

In Spycker, a new weekly food market featuring local fruits, vegetables, and cheeses will launch on September 25, held every Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. near the town hall. This initiative follows successful summer markets and fulfills a campaign promise made to citizens.

In Bouniagues, a recent gourmet and artisanal market brought residents together for a festive evening featuring various food stands and live music by La Pompa Swing en Duo.

In Trois-Bassins, the association ‘Tous à Table !’ is launching the ‘Village Gourmand’ on September 27. This event aims to promote short supply chains and ‘food democracy,’ connecting consumers directly with local producers to ensure fair remuneration and accessible, high-quality food.

Additionally, Ambres is hosting a ‘Fête Paysanne’ featuring a producers' market, agricultural debates regarding climate change, and traditional Occitan music.
