Local associations promote cultural traditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia

Local associations in Vareš, Bosnia and Herzegovina, participated in the ZEPS 2026 fair to showcase the culinary and cultural heritage of the Zenica-Doboj Canton. The associations ‘Izvorno Vareško’ and ‘Žene Stupnog Dola’ presented traditional foods, drinks, and local customs at the ZDK Tourism Board stand, which was noted as one of the most visited during the event. The ZDK Tourism Board also received the ‘Bronze Rose of ZEPS’ award.

In Croatia, the Savska Ves Women's Association organized a ‘Vintage Autumn’ event focused on preserving regional customs. The program included exhibitions of antique items, traditional pumpkin harvesting, and corn husking to promote intergenerational knowledge transfer and local heritage.
