Local authorities conduct environmental cleaning and risk prevention efforts

In Nochistlán de Mejía, Zacatecas, a sanitation day was held at the Huisquilco dam to promote environmental conservation. Organized by the National Water Commission (CONAGUA) and local municipal leadership, the initiative involved students, public works personnel, and community volunteers to clean the natural space.

In Picaihua, the Parochial Autonomous Decentralized Government (GAD) performed cleaning operations near a local collector canal. Workers removed weeds, debris, and overgrown vegetation from the ravine to ensure proper rainwater flow. These preventive measures aim to mitigate the risk of flooding and structural damage ahead of the winter season.
