Local authorities hold community dialogues in Dominican Republic and Chile

Local authorities in Sabaneta, Dominican Republic, and San Clemente, Chile, have held community meetings to address regional development and infrastructure needs.

In Sabaneta, Plan San Juan director Carlos Roa met with local cooperatives and associations to discuss socioeconomic progress and environmental preservation. Community leaders requested support for projects including tilapia farming, the construction of a secondary high school and municipal market, and the conservation of the Seboruco cave. Additionally, discussions focused on improving the local aqueduct and rural roads, alongside reforestation efforts in the San Juan River basin.

In San Clemente, Mayor Juan Rojas and the Municipal Council met with rural neighborhood boards to identify local challenges. Key concerns raised by residents included access to potable water, the maintenance of rural roads, and the issues surrounding irregular land subdivisions, which hinder the delivery of public services to certain families.
