Local authorities in Argentina and Mexico conduct tree planting initiatives

In General La Madrid, Argentina, officials and educators inaugurated the “Paseo de la memoria” at the Municipal Polideportivo. As part of the “Plantamos memoria” program, 50 trees were planted to represent various educational institutions, clubs, and the Directorate of Sports. The event, held to commemorate the Day of the Recovery of Democracy, serves as a symbolic space for human rights and democratic commitment.

In Durango, Mexico, the Municipal Directorate of Environment and the State Institute of Sports joined forces to establish the city’s 27th microforest at the Mendívil football field. This reforestation effort aims to expand green spaces within public sports areas to promote sustainability and provide healthier environments for citizens participating in physical activities.
