Local billiards champions crowned in the Netherlands

Local billiards championships have concluded at two Dutch clubs. At BV Vriendenkring in Bergharen, Theo van Hout claimed the third edition of the libre club championship. In the final, Van Hout defeated Willy van Ooijen in 24 turns. The tournament featured 42 participants, ranging in age from 15-year-old Luuk Theunissen to 89-year-old Han van den Berg.

In Vinkeveen, Walter van Kouwen secured the championship at De Merel/Thijmen van Veen Waterwerken for the 2025-2026 season. Van Kouwen finished with 206 points from eighteen matches. Dirk van Egmond took second place with 190 points, followed by Kees Griffioen with 189 points. Notable individual achievements included a high series of 79 carombs by Dorus van der Meer.
