Local business events and holiday preparations in the Netherlands

In Wijhe, the ‘Weekend van de Wijhese Winkel’ is scheduled for Saturday, October 24. The event features local entrepreneurs receiving assistance from well-known residents between 10:00 and 12:00 to encourage local shopping. A prize draw for three €50 vouchers will be held for participants.

Additionally, the Historical Association of Wijhe will host a free guided tour of the Langstraat starting at 13:30, focusing on the history of local buildings and businesses. To prepare for the darker months, atmospheric lighting has been reinstalled in the town center by Multilight.

In Weert, the liquor retailer Vanderfeesten is preparing for the holiday season with its ‘Vanderfeestendagen’ initiative. Beyond its standard selection of beer, wine, and spirits, the business is offering customized Christmas hampers, corporate gifts, and party rental services. This year’s assortment includes various non-alcoholic options and diverse packaging such as baskets, suitcases, and coolers.
