Local business updates: New post office in Geisweid and Rewe renovation in Berlin

In Geisweid, the Turgut family has opened a new Deutsche Post branch at Marktstraße 53. This follows the termination of a previous partnership between the former operator and Deutsche Post in late April, which had forced local customers to use services in Buschhütten or Weidenau.

The new branch will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 18:00 and Saturdays from 9:00 to 13:00.

In Berlin-Mitte, the Rewe supermarket located at Friedrichstraße 67-70 will close for renovations starting August 28. The facility is scheduled to reopen on November 11 following a comprehensive update. The renovation includes installing energy-efficient cooling systems, modernizing building technology, widening aisles, and lowering shelves to improve accessibility and shopping comfort. During the closure, customers are directed to the recently modernized Rewe market at Friedrichstraße 60.
