Quartu Sant’Elena inaugurates Emporio Solidale for community aid

The Emporio Solidale has officially opened in Quartu Sant’Elena, Sardinia, providing a 750-square-meter space dedicated to supporting families and individuals facing economic hardship. Located in Pitz’e Serra, the facility offers free access to essential goods, including food, clothing, household products, detergents, and even specialized items like strollers, toys, and wedding dresses.

The project is a collaborative effort led by the Domu Mia association and the Consulta delle associazioni di Quartu Sant’Elena, involving various third-sector organizations, volunteers, and the local municipal administration. The inauguration ceremony included Mayor Graziano Milia and representatives from several partner organizations such as Caritas, Anteas, and Anmic.

Initially, the Emporio will be open to those in need twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, from 15:30 to 18:00.
