Local cafes in Nantes and Rezé highlight regional hospitality

In Nantes, La Maison Café continues to operate as a themed establishment designed to resemble a 1970s home. The venue offers various immersive settings, including a living room with a sofa, a kitchen bar, and even a bedroom and bathtub area for patrons. It is currently part of the Passeport de l’apéro initiative, which provides tasting opportunities at various local addresses.

In Rezé, the Café du Château will remain open during September under the management of the city and local associations. The establishment is currently in a transition period as officials seek a permanent manager. Three candidates—Way Maison, the Malakoule association, and the Poulpes association—are competing for the role. A selection jury is expected to meet in mid-October, with the final manager to be announced in November 2026.
