Local candidates discuss community projects and policy

In Franklin County, magistrate candidates are outlining their priorities for upcoming terms. Kelly Dycus, a candidate for the 3rd District, has expressed support for completing the Holmes Street housing project and constructing a pool and wellness center. Dycus intends to address affordable housing through the Holmes Street project and community center, while also working with private builders to increase housing levels in Frankfort and Franklin County. Regarding public safety technology, Dycus stated opposition to the use of Flock cameras in the community at this time.

In Cold Spring, the upcoming November 3 election for the five-member Village Board will feature incumbents Laura Bozzi and Tweeps Phillips Woods seeking re-election for two-year terms. Fran Murphy is also running a write-in campaign for a seat on the board.
