Local commemorative and anniversary events held in Italy

In Fertilia, Sardinia, the Corsa del Ricordo will take place on Sunday, October 25. This event marks the second edition in Sardinia and the ninth seasonal stage of the circuit. The race serves to commemorate the Foibe martyrs and remember the exodus of Italian populations from the north-eastern borders following World War II.

Fertilia holds historical significance for the Giuliano/Dalmatian communities, having been populated by exiles from Chioggia in 1948. The 7.2-kilometer route will pass through rationalist-style buildings and karst coastal areas.

In Ferrara, Assonautica Ferrara is celebrating its 40th anniversary. A conference at the Chamber of Commerce will review the association's four decades of activity, highlighting its role in promoting nautical, fluvial, and naturalistic tourism to support regional economic development.
