Local commerce initiatives launched in Cantabria and La Palma
Various regional initiatives have been launched in Spain to stimulate local commerce and support small businesses.
In Cantabria, the Government of Cantabria is supporting the ‘Compra y Gana’ campaign in Los Corrales de Buelna. Organized by the Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of Valle de Buelna in collaboration with the local City Council, the eight-week program will distribute 8,000 euros in shopping vouchers to customers of participating businesses to encourage local consumption.
In La Palma, the Federation of Business Associations of La Palma (FAEP) has introduced the ‘Porque el impulso eres tú’ campaign. Running throughout November, the initiative offers customers who spend more than 20 euros at participating establishments a chance to win one of 15 vouchers worth 100 euros each. The campaign is supported by the Cabildo Insular de La Palma, several local city councils, and the Government of the Canary Islands.
