Local commerce initiatives launched in Lajeado and Brusque
Business associations in the Brazilian cities of Lajeado and Brusque have announced new initiatives to stimulate local commerce during the upcoming holiday season.
In Lajeado, the CDL Lajeado launched the 28th edition of the ‘Lajeado Brilha’ campaign. Running from November 3 to December 29, the promotion involves 150 companies and will distribute over R$ 200,000 in prizes. The initiative aims to boost the local economy, generate employment, and increase municipal tax revenue amid challenges such as rising delinquency rates.
In Brusque, the CDL Brusque has announced suggested extended operating hours for retailers to accommodate Christmas shoppers. Starting December 5, suggested hours include closing at 18:00 on certain Saturdays, 20:00 during the second week of December, and up to 21:00 during the latter half of the month. Additionally, the entity is partnering with the local government to organize family-oriented holiday attractions in the city center starting December 3.
