The second edition of the Mercadita Violeta “Por Amor a Puebla” concluded in the Zócalo of Puebla, attracting over 20,000 local, national, and international visitors. The event featured approximately 250 female entrepreneurs, artisans, and producers from 40 different municipalities, including Tecamachalco, Cuetzalan, and Tehuacán.

Organized by the Secretaría de las Mujeres, the initiative aimed to promote economic autonomy and strengthen commercial networks for women. The three-day event generated an economic impact exceeding 500,000 pesos. In addition to the sale of textiles, crafts, and traditional foods, the program included workshops on social economy, rural entrepreneurship, and cultural activities such as feminist storytelling and dance.

Yadira Lira Navarro, head of the Secretaría de las Mujeres, emphasized that supporting the productive capacity of women contributes to their economic independence and overall family well-being.
