Local communities in Italy mourn recent deaths

The communities of Tuscania and the Ventasso region are mourning the recent deaths of two local figures.

Dario Baffarelli, aged 28, passed away on August 30 at the Gemelli Hospital in Rome. His funeral is scheduled for August 31 at the Church of Santa Maria del Riposo in Tuscania. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Aprotion, an association that supports the Hematology Division of the Policlinico Universitario Gemelli Foundation.

In the Ventasso area, Gian Paolo Notari, known as ‘Baffo’, has died at the age of 81. Notari was a prominent figure in local tourism, having played a key role in the development of the Cerreto Laghi tourist center and the Ventasso Laghi ski station. He previously served as president of the cooperative managing the Cerreto Laghi facilities and was recognized for his efforts to promote mountain development and community unity.
