Local community activities scheduled in Amersfoort and Wommelgem

The municipality of Amersfoort has released its activity calendar for the period through early September 2026. Scheduled events include Alderman Nadya Aboyaakoub-Akkouh attending the closing of the De Rekenboost summer school, Alderman Joyce Huurman visiting High Voltage Engineering, and Alderman Marjolein Perdok attending a cultural dinner in Eindhoven. Mayor Lucas Bolsius is set to open the first Keisnel Chess Tournament and attend Havenpop in Bunschoten-Spakenburg. Additionally, officials will engage with residents in the Schothorst shopping center to gather input for a new coalition agreement.

In Wommelgem, Seniors Week is scheduled from November 16 to November 20, 2026. The program features a walking route through residential care centers, card game competitions with prizes from local businesses, and a theatrical performance titled ‘Geen Oude Vrouwtjes’ featuring actresses Chris Lomme and Marit Stocker.
