Local community and cultural funds launch initiatives in the Netherlands

Various community and cultural initiatives in the Netherlands are receiving new financial support through local funds.

In Afferden, the MooiMaasvallei Community Fund has awarded contributions to five social and village-oriented projects. These initiatives aim to enhance social cohesion, health, and livability. Supported projects include the DeZeskamp decathlon event, the Offers Treff village festival, improvements to the MFC De Alverman multifunctional center, and a billiards initiative for seniors.

In Amstelveen, the newly established Amstelveens Cultuurfonds (ACF) has officially launched. Created in partnership with the Zadelhoff Cultuur Fonds (ZCF), the fund will invest €300,000 annually over the next three years, totaling €900,000. The initiative aims to strengthen the local cultural sector and provide alternative funding sources amidst national budget cuts.
