Local community development projects reported in Boyacá and Floridablanca
In San Pablo de Borbur, Boyacá, municipal authorities and the El Bosque neighborhood housing board met to coordinate local development programs. Key discussions included riverbed intervention, reviewing a road projected in the Territorial Ordering Scheme (EOT), and constructing sidewalks. Additionally, plans were announced for the production of planters to support the creation of a large urban garden in the western region.
In Floridablanca, residents of the Santa Ana neighborhood successfully coordinated with the waste management company Veolia to clean and prune a local green zone. The community initiative, led by the local action board and environmental committee, aimed to remove waste and improve the public park located at Carrera 4 and Calle 15. Residents noted that maintaining clean and visible public spaces is essential for community coexistence and preventing issues such as trash accumulation and drug use.
