Local community events held in Siheung and Daegu

In Siheung, the Jeongwang 4-dong Youth Guidance Council organized a joint night patrol and campaign on the 22nd to enhance resident safety and protect local youth. Approximately 40 participants, including members from the autonomous crime prevention unit, community leaders, and local government staff, focused their efforts on school zones and commercial districts. The initiative aimed to inspect businesses for youth-unfriendly environments and identify safety blind spots to prevent crime.

In Daegu, the Dong-gu District Office successfully concluded the 4th ‘Youth the Dream Festa’ on the 23rd. The cultural festival featured performances by local artists and cheerleading from Daegu University. A highlight of the event was a talk concert with former Samsung Lions player Oh Seung-hwan, who shared personal experiences regarding overcoming professional slumps to provide encouragement and advice to local youth.
