Local community events scheduled in Doesburg and Dieren

The 2Switch thrift store in Doesburg is launching its annual Christmas department on Saturday, October 31. The collection features second-hand decorations, including ornaments, trees, and lighting, aimed at promoting sustainable and affordable holiday celebrations.

In Dieren, the Oudheidkundige Kring Rheden-Rozendaal will host a historical village walk on Sunday, November 1. Guided by Thomas Hilhorst and Jeroen van Gessel, the tour will visit the General Cemetery, a national monument established in 1842, and the Jewish cemetery. The walk will highlight local history, including the founders of Gazelle and stories of local figures from the 1940s.
