Local community festivals scheduled in Cazaubon and Garat

Local community celebrations are scheduled in Cazaubon-Barbotan les Thermes from August 26 to 31. The program includes a bubble foot tournament, a lottery, a pétanque competition, and children's olympiads. Official festivities will begin on August 28 with the handing over of the city keys, accompanied by the banda Las Murgas, food trucks, and musical performances by the Buffalo Brass Band and DJ CK. The schedule also features a Portuguese bullfight and a firefighters' dinner on August 29.

In Garat, the Comité des fêtes et d’animations de Garat continues its long-standing tradition of local engagement. Originally established in 1967, the association has historically organized diverse events such as theater, karaoke, and outdoor cinema. Following a period of restructuring and a change in name to reflect a broader range of activities, the committee has modernized its statutes and digital presence to better serve the community.
