Local community festivals scheduled in Montalbano and Certaldo

Several local cultural and community events are scheduled in Italy for September 2026.

In Montalbano, the traditional cycling event has been renamed ‘Ciclospaghettata’ and will take place on Sunday, September 13. Organized by the Scià association as part of the Bicentennial Committee activities, the event features a new afternoon schedule. Participants will depart from Piazza della Libertà at 4:00 PM, traveling through the countryside via Pozzo Faceto and Speziale, before concluding with a community spaghetti dinner at the Montalbano parish church. The initiative, supported by the Municipality of Fasano, Officine Montalbanesi, and Emergency, aims to promote sustainable mobility and community connection.

In Certaldo, the tenth edition of ‘Calambur – La disfida dei Rioni’ is set for Sunday, September 20. Organized by the Elitropia Association, the event involves a competition between the city's various districts to celebrate local history and identity. The festivities will begin at 3:00 PM in Certaldo Alto and will feature historical reenactments, including performances by flag throwers, with artistic direction by Riccardo Diana and costume design by Marina Sciarrelli.
