Local community groups launch toy and material donation drives

In San Andrés Cholula, Mexico, Mayor Lupita Cuautle announced the third annual “Regala una Sonrisa” toy drive. This initiative involves collaboration between the municipal government, social organizations, and the business sector, including Por Tres Pádel Club, Grupo Proyecta, and Club Rotario Puebla Vivo. The program aims to collect approximately 700 toys to benefit children in rehabilitation, ludotheque, and disability services, as well as health centers. The distribution is planned for January 2027.

In Argentina, the social psychology program “Corazones Espinados” has launched a solidarity drive to support a local hospital and School 503. The initiative, led by coordinator Gisele Hernández, seeks to transform the grief of families who have lost children into community action. The drive collects used toys in good condition for the hospital, while also requesting sensory materials such as zippers, sequins, buttons, cardboard, and wood to create educational tools for the school.
