Local community health initiatives held in Greece

The Municipality of Alexandroupoli organized a successful voluntary blood donation drive on October 21, 2026. Held at the local KAPHI center in collaboration with the Blood Donation Department of Veria General Hospital, the event saw significant participation from the community. Members of the 'Children of Spring' social welfare group also participated by distributing information regarding the donation process.

In the settlement of Chamlo, within the Municipality of Maroneia-Sapes, an educational event focused on the 'Prevention and Management of Dementia' was conducted. Led by psychologist Georgia Pavlidou, the session aimed to raise awareness about early recognition, prevention, and support for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers. The initiative was hosted by the Chamlo Women's Association and supported by local municipal social services.
