Local community initiatives announced in Lorca and La Aldea de San Nicolás

The Lorca City Council is launching a childcare reconciliation service at the Palacete de Huerto Ruano during November. Aimed at children aged 5 to 12, the service will operate on November 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21 from 16:00 to 19:30. The initiative, supported by the Ministry of Equality and the regional government, provides 15 spots per session to allow families to participate in local festivities and heritage week. The program intends to promote co-education and equality values.

In La Aldea de San Nicolás, the local tourism department has organized a “Night of Stars” event at La Aldea Beach. Scheduled for November 6 at 19:30, the activity offers stargazing opportunities led by an astronomy specialist from AstroEduca. This event is part of the “Tourism, Territory, and Landscape” meeting, designed to highlight the natural attractions of the coastal area and diversify local tourism experiences.
