Local community markets and festivals scheduled in Hobro and Mørkøv

Various local community events are scheduled across Denmark this weekend, including food and flea markets.

In Hobro, the Vølvens Madmarked will take place at the harbor on Saturday, September 26. Organized by the Mariagerfjord Madfestival, the event features food from vendors such as Hobro Brød, Fuglsø Ost & Is, and Slagter Madsen. The program includes Nordic folk music by Valøya, jazz by the trio Blåklang, and accordion music by Henrik Klitgaard. Activities for children include carving Viking pumpkins, while Jeanette Veng will demonstrate how to create bouquets from vegetables and herbs.

Meanwhile, the Mørkøv Kræmmermarked is set to run from Friday afternoon through Sunday. More than 250 vendors from Denmark and other Nordic countries will offer items ranging from flea market finds to clothing and food. The event includes two amusement areas for children, circus workshops, and various musical performances by artists such as Fede Finn, Funnyboyz, and John Mogensen Live.
