Local community projects and developments in Croatia

In Zagreb, third-grade students from OŠ Središće participated in the national project ‘My City and I, Friend of Two 3’, authored by Maja Pignar-Mijović. The initiative encouraged students to explore the city's history and landmarks beyond textbooks. Activities included visiting the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, observing statues of Većeslav Holjevac and Franjo Tuđman, and learning about the 1964 Zagreb flood. The project also featured an outdoor school program on Sljeme, where students explored the natural and cultural heritage of Medvednica, including a visit to the Zrinski mine.

In Osijek, a new residential complex named Zona 31 is being developed near the Drava river promenade. The project is situated between Kišpatićeva Street, Nikola Tesla Square, and the courtyard of Jagoda Truhelke Elementary School. The development consists of three building volumes centered around a shared courtyard, integrating existing structures with new architecture. The complex will offer apartments ranging from 38 to 119 square meters, catering to various household needs.
