Local concerns rise over waste management and heritage funding

Residents of the Anexa Obrera neighborhood in Playas de Rosarito have raised alarms regarding the accumulation of litter on public streets. Local citizens report that pedestrians and visitors are frequently abandoning plastic bottles and glass near the Del Valle repair shop and the Telnor branch. There are growing concerns that this waste will clog storm drains, leading to flooding during the upcoming rainy season.

In Elche, Spain, a private donor has pledged one million euros to support the restoration of the Santa María Basilica. This contribution is intended to bolster the future foundation dedicated to the temple's conservation. The foundation is expected to begin operations by the end of the year, with administrative offices potentially opening in September to manage such philanthropic collaborations.
