Local controversies emerge in Italian schools and nurseries
Two separate incidents involving educational facilities in Italy have drawn significant local attention. In Potenza, the Fp Cgil union has called for a different work placement for an educator scheduled to return to the via Adriatico nursery. The educator had completed a 12-month precautionary suspension related to an investigation into alleged mistreatment at a different facility. The union noted that while the worker's rights must be protected, the return has caused concern among families, some of whom have threatened to withdraw their children from the service.
In Bobbiate, parents at the Enrico Fermi primary school have raised alarms following a series of rodent sightings between late September and late October. Reports include dead mice found in the building and garden, as well as live rodents discovered in the cafeteria shortly before lunchtime. In response, the catering service provider implemented sanitization measures and temporarily relocated meals to a different classroom. The parents' association has requested specialized inspections from local authorities and health agencies to ensure student safety.
