In Lamezia Terme, municipal councilors Bernadette Serratore and Lidia Vescio have filed a motion seeking clarification regarding the recruitment of four full-time local police agents. In Chieti, the municipal council rejected a motion proposed by the Forza Italia group concerning the regulation of funeral homes. The motion, led by Mattia Di Paolo, sought to review local regulations to identify compatible areas for such facilities in accordance with urban, hygienic, and environmental standards. Forza Italia members argued the rejection is a missed opportunity, noting that similar structures exist in neighboring municipalities and citing recent administrative court rulings regarding the necessity of justifying restrictions on funeral home locations.
