Local councils in Mioveni and Pitești advance regional development projects

Local councils in the Argeș region are addressing administrative and developmental projects. In Mioveni, an extraordinary online session was scheduled to discuss the expansion of public passenger transport services. The proposal includes incorporating the communes of Hârtiești and Boteni into the ADI Trans Eco Miodav framework and modifying existing transport management delegation contracts. Additionally, Ștefan Roland-Oliver has been proposed as the session president starting in September 2026.

In Pitești, the Local Council is considering the establishment of the Destination Management Organization (DMO) Visit Pitești. This initiative aims to unite local administration with the private sector to develop a coherent tourism strategy, promote the city's brand, and attract national and European funding. The municipality plans to be a founding member with an initial contribution of 40,000 lei, supplemented by annual special tourism taxes. The project also includes provisions for municipal representation on the organization's Board of Directors.
