Local councils in Pitești and Târgu Mureș discuss infrastructure projects

In Pitești, the local council is set to review an updated investment estimate for the rehabilitation of the former administrative building (Corpul C3) at the Ion C. Brătianu National College. The project, initiated by Mayor Cristian Gentea, has an estimated cost of approximately 5.07 million lei, which is roughly 880,000 lei less than the amount previously approved in September.

The renovation will include structural reinforcements, such as replacing degraded beams and repairing masonry, while reorganizing the interior spaces. The college museum and archives will be relocated to different areas within the facility.

In Târgu Mureș, the local council will debate modifications to the Zonal Urbanistic Plan (PUZ) to facilitate the construction of a new nursery in the Unirii neighborhood. The proposed project, part of a national investment program, requires increasing the maximum land occupancy rate from 35% to 51.20% to accommodate the standard design of the single-level educational building.
