Local councils in Siheung and Incheon launch welfare blind spot campaigns

Local Community Security Councils in Siheung and Incheon are conducting field campaigns to identify households in welfare blind spots and connect them with necessary support services.

In Siheung's Neunggok-dong, the council operated the ‘Empathy! Village Chat Room’ at the LH4 complex. The initiative aims to discover residents who are socially isolated or unaware of available welfare systems. The program included interactive activities and dedicated consultation desks to provide immediate guidance on health and welfare services.

In Incheon's Geomam-gyeongseo-dong, the council launched a campaign to discover crisis households and expand local welfare resources. Members visited residential areas and local businesses, such as restaurants and pharmacies, to distribute information and encourage residents and merchants to report neighbors in need of assistance. Both initiatives emphasize strengthening the social safety net through public-private cooperation.
