Local cultural and community events scheduled in Villeurbanne and Quimper

Various community initiatives and cultural events are taking place in France. In Villeurbanne, the “Premier Regard” program offers youth aged 11 to 16 from the Brosses neighborhood a five-day filmmaking workshop at La Serre de l’Autre Soie. Participants will work with professionals to manage the entire production process, from scriptwriting and directing to filming, editing, and sound mixing. The workshop concludes with a public screening of their short film.

In Quimper, several activities are scheduled for October 26. The “Semaines du tourisme économique” allows for visits to local businesses, including Yprema, Novomax, and the cosmetics brand Arboté. Additionally, the “La tête ailleurs” youth cinema festival continues at the Katorza cinema, featuring various animated and live-action films.

Meanwhile, the Quimper intercommunal accessibility commission is seeking new candidates to help assess the accessibility of local transportation, buildings, and housing for elderly and disabled residents.
