Local cultural and gastronomic traditions celebrated in Vitulano and Valfornace

In Vitulano, Benevento, the 33rd edition of the Sagra della Castagna e del Pecorino Vitulanese is scheduled to take place from October 29 to November 1, 2026. Organized by Pro Loco Camposauro APS, the event aims to promote local gastronomic traditions, craftsmanship, and regional excellence. The organization has opened applications for exhibitors, including agricultural producers, artisans, and food and beverage operators, with a deadline of September 25, 2026.

In Valfornace, the community of Pievebovigliana held the traditional Blessing of Saint Hubert. Organized by E. P. S. Ente Produttori Selvaggina with municipal patronage, the event included a conference titled ‘Libertà, sole, spazi e tempeste’ in memory of naturalist Franco Perco. The day featured discussions on biodiversity and wildlife management, a traditional blessing of dogs, and awards presented to the community's oldest and youngest hunters.
