Local cultural and social initiatives launch in various Italian regions

Several community-focused cultural and social programs are commencing across Italy. In Orta Nova, author Livio Minafra will present his book “Nastri perduti. La banda, il jazz, il sud (Vol. 1)” at the C-Lab Mao cultural laboratory on October 29. The project explores the musical heritage of Southern Italy, specifically focusing on musicians from the post-war era through recovered recordings and historical research.

In San Giovanni in Marignano, the “L’Amicizia” Senior Recreational Center has reopened for the 2026/2027 season. Managed by AUSER Rimini in collaboration with local authorities, the center offers socialization, cognitive stimulation, and health promotion activities. It includes specialized support for individuals with memory issues through partnerships with the Rimini Alzheimer Center.

Additionally, the Frattocchie Senior Center in Marino is hosting a cultural series titled “Nel salotto di Anna Maria.” The initiative uses cinema to stimulate reflection, recently featuring a screening and philosophical discussion of Woody Allen’s film “Whatever Works.”
