Local Cultural Events Boost Tourism in Roatán and Gijón

Arca Boutique Hotel in Roatán, Honduras hosted the first Pop‑Up of the year, bringing together local artisans, designers and food vendors for a weekend of shopping, cocktails and a sunset yoga session. Hotel representative Heydi Contreras said the initiative aims to foster entrepreneurial growth on the island and will continue with future editions.

Meanwhile, the Arco Atlantic festival in Gijón, Spain opened its gastronomic programme with workshops and tastings centred on the northern bonito. Chef Alejandro Galán prepared a tartar and a roll of bonito, paired with Asturian cider, highlighting the city’s historic connection to the fish. Organiser Aitor Martínez emphasized the event’s role in reviving local culinary traditions.
