Local deaths reported in Vitorchiano and Montichiari

In Vitorchiano, Michele D'Arcangeli has passed away at the age of 61 following a long illness. His family described him as a courageous individual and requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to AIRC to support cancer research. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday at the Church of Sant'Agostino in Soriano nel Cimino.

In Montichiari, the community is mourning Mirjana Jovovic, a 53-year-old teacher who died from fulminant meningitis. While her death initially triggered health prophylaxis and surveillance measures, investigations by Ats Brescia concluded the case was not a contagious form of meningitis, specifically excluding meningococcus. A fundraising effort for her family has exceeded 10,000 euros. Her funeral will be held Saturday at the Duomo of Montichiari.
