Local development initiatives launched in Fano and Vietri di Potenza

In Fano, Italy, stakeholders gathered at the University of Urbino Carlo Bo to discuss the “Vitruvio Wellness Destination” project. The conference aimed to explore how the city’s historical connection to Vitruvius, combined with its thermal waters and wellness resources, could serve as a strategic driver for economic and tourism development. Experts discussed creating conditions to attract investment, generate employment, and extend the local tourist season through a focus on architecture, landscape, and health.

In Vietri di Potenza, a new community cooperative named INNOVA is being introduced to transform local infrastructure and public space improvements into sustainable jobs and services. The cooperative intends to involve citizens directly in regional development, with potential projects ranging from the management of traditional olive groves and extra virgin olive oil production to providing home care for the elderly, family services, and the management of local tourism and cultural heritage sites.
