Local development projects announced in Hradec Králové and Uherské Hradiště
Two significant urban development projects have been outlined in the Czech Republic. In Hradec Králové, the Sever Primary School will undergo a modernization of its dining pavilion and kitchen facilities. The project, costing over 38 million CZK, includes structural renovations to the cooking, serving, and washing areas, as well as improvements to ventilation, technical utilities, and food storage. A new elevator will also be installed. Construction is expected to begin early next year, with completion targeted for summer, while new gastro-technology installation is planned for May 2027.
In Uherské Hradiště, a new territorial study proposes transforming the ČSAD area on Průmyslová Street into a modern residential district. The plan envisions the construction of approximately 588 apartments, ranging from studio to three-bedroom units, alongside a new nursery and 2,500 square meters of commercial space. The development aims to include significant greenery covering up to one-third of the area, as well as 863 parking spaces. The study also addresses necessary infrastructure changes, including new pedestrian and cycling connections and updated road layouts.
