Local developments in Pernambuco and Petrolina

In Ouricuri, Mayor Victor Coelho met with Compesa President Douglas Nóbrega to demand solutions for water supply failures. The mayor reported several system disruptions occurring between September 26 and October 13. Coelho noted that Governor Raquel Lyra has intervened to request special attention for the municipality. He also called for accelerated progress on the Voluntários da Pátria Water Treatment Plant and the Negreiros Adutora to improve regional water security.

In Petrolina, Mayor Simão Durando visited the construction site of the new Paraíba Home Center. The 22,000-square-meter facility is expected to open on November 23 and is projected to create more than 350 jobs. The project is described as the largest home center in the Brazilian interior, marking an expansion for the Paraíba Group.
