Community wellbeing initiatives announced in Netherlands

The Alzheimer Café regio Woerden is celebrating its 21st anniversary with a special program on October 15. The event will feature the documentary ‘Ons Campertje’ by Diny van Hoften, which follows Hans Hanswijk and his wife as they navigate the challenges of dementia through travel. Hans Hanswijk will be present to participate in a discussion following the film.

In the Achterhoek region, the Week of Positive Health will take place from October 26 to 31, 2026. The initiative involves various organizations from healthcare, welfare, sports, and culture to promote resilience and social connection. Activities include breakfast sessions with movement exercises and a meeting for policymakers on October 29 titled ‘Het kan wel! En we doen het al… gezond in de Achterhoek!’
