Local economic development initiatives launched in Brazilian municipalities
Municipalities in Brazil are implementing initiatives to boost local economies through professional training and entrepreneurship.
In Mauá da Serra, a partnership between the local government and Sebrae hosted a workshop focused on craft entrepreneurship. The session provided guidance on transforming manual skills into sustainable businesses, covering essential topics such as market demand identification, correct pricing, marketing, and business formalization.
Meanwhile, Massaranduba launched the Qualifica Massaranduba program in collaboration with the Massaranduba Business Association (Aciam) and Senai. The program offers four professional courses with an 80% subsidy provided by the city government. The curriculum was developed based on direct feedback from local businesses to ensure the training meets the specific labor needs of the region's productive and service sectors.
