Local educational and commemorative events held in Turkey

In Osmaniye, veterans participated in the ‘Meetings of Homeland and Heroism’ project at Yedi Ocak Primary School. Coordinated by the Ministry of Family and Social Services, the event featured veterans from the 1974 Cyprus Peace Operation and those who served in Northern Iraq. The veterans shared personal accounts of their struggles and sacrifices with students to promote national values and awareness of the roles of martyrs and veterans.

In Kahramanmaraş, a seminar titled ‘The Establishment of Imam Hatips and Sandal Hoca’ was held at the Kahramanmaraş Anatolian Imam Hatip High School. Organized by the Provincial Directorate of National Education and the Provincial Mufti's Office, the event featured educator Vehbi Vakkasoğlu. The discussion focused on the history of Imam Hatip schools and the contributions of Hafız Osman Sandaloğlu, known as ‘Sandal Hoca,’ to the region's spiritual and educational development.
