Local elections approach in Norfolk County and Snowmass Village

Local elections are approaching in Norfolk County, Canada, and Snowmass Village, United States.

In Norfolk County, nominations have closed for the October 26 elections for the County Council and local school boards. Seven candidates are running for mayor, including incumbents and former officials. Several ward races are also underway, including Ward 6 in Port Dover and Ward 5 in Simcoe, where multiple candidates are vying for council seats.

In Snowmass Village, the November election field has formed following the nomination deadline. Mayor Alyssa Shenk is running uncontested. Three new candidates have entered the race for two open town council seats, joining two incumbents.
